Fashion for the style enthusiast, is I think, what clay is to the sculptor, what words are to the writer.. It has allowed me to say things about, and to myself, that words somehow never could.. And while I fully comprehend and agree, that fashion may not the most important of things in life, clothing is a necessity.. So why not make it beautiful? Why not artful? If for no other reason, than how it makes one feel about oneself.. If that is a good feeling, could that ever be a bad thing?
In a world turned completely upside down, I dare say it has kept many of us sane in the past year, if only for its ability to allow us to dream... I’d dreamt of starting my own little YT account centering around fashion for the past 10 years.. Finally, the day before my birthday in 2019, I finally decided to test the water and started an IG page..
And what a helluva year it’s been! It was one of those years that no one could predict and none of us could see coming. And so in between quarantining, and stressing, and planning and re-evaluating goals, I spent most of the year reading, watching, observing, learning and being inspired by people doing the most amazing things in these spaces.
More importantly, I’ve met and made many new and incredible friends and acquaintances here. I’ve woken up to so many good mornings and tidings, and kind words of caring and smiles..
Today marks 1 year and a day that I’ve been here.. In commemoration, I want to take a moment to thank you guys for all of your incredible, and generous support.. My little group means the world to me, and I hope to bring something worthwhile to these spaces.
